According to Chinese and Taoist medicine, food is an important key for our health. In the dining room, tasteful dishes are prepared from fresh natural ingredients. A significant proportion of the vegetables and fruits come from our own organic gardens. The variety of dishes and offerings caters to an international, health-conscious, clientele. But ask a group of guests what they think. They are the proof. How do they find the food? Here is what five people say:
(South Africa) “The food is absolutely delicious– it’s almost gourmet and of high standard. It’s extremely healthy. I lost weight during the week. The salads are excellent and there is a big variety. I ate a plate of salad for lunch every day.”
(Holland) “I love the food. It’s too good, and the choices are large. It’s difficult to eat less because it’s all so good. The food is quite light, not heavy. I especially like the traditional Thai dish of steamed fish cooked in a lime brew and they serve healthy bread”.
(Egypt) “The food energizes you and is of high quality. You don’t put on weight. There is great variety and it’s all delicious.”
(Belgium) “The food is fantastic. It’s low toxicity food!!! They use good oils and no dairy except for butter.”
(USA) “I am on a gluten-free diet and the kitchen most graciously accommodated for my special needs. They would make a rice bread for me in the morning and would steam fish, chicken, or broccoli for me whenever I asked. The hosts and hostesses gently and kindly helped me whenever I needed it. I felt blessed.”
For dinner yet another kind of freshly prepared juice is available and another array of healthy and elegantly prepared cuisine. Fresh GABA rice milk, said to contain important building blocks for DNA, is prepared each evening. The food and conversation is so pleasant and satisfying that guests oftentimes must tear themselves away from the dining hall for the complimentary evening exercises.

Gac Heaven Fruit Gac (Momordica Cochinchinensis Spreng) is a tropical fruit found in Vietnam and other regions of Southeast Asia where it is valued for many important health benefits. It is valued as the “fruit from heaven” and is prized for its ability to promote longevity, vitality, and health. Recent research has shown that Gac is a fountain of antioxidants. Big Gac Fruit at Tao Garden Master Chia discovered the benefits of Gac Fruit and is creating healthy food from Gac Fruit. We have prepared the planting area of 1 rai and brought seed from Vietnam. Gac will take 5-6 months to have ripe fruit. Within 3 months of planting Gac flowers; after 4 months there are green fruit; after 5 months there are bright-orange fruit; lastly in 6 months there will be bright-red fruit, that can be used as ingredients of food, fruit juice or tea. This bright-red fruit grows abundantly on vines and is as large as a cantaloupe. Traditionally, the red, oily pulp is cooked with rice and served during special festivities such as weddings. The bright red color generates the desired visual effect that represents good luck and joy.
